The International International Relations Office was set up as a section in the Office of the Vice Chancellor in 2005 to have a coordinated interface with the international community which includes visitors, scholars, researchers, international students, collaborations, partnerships and networks.

The Vice Chancellor Prof Baryamureeba is visiting University of Cape Town, South Africa to meet his counterpart Dr Max Price and the Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof Thandabantu Nhlapo. Discussions will centre around the direction of USHEPIA programmes and future collaboration activities with southern African universities.

Experience in campus: It was a very exciting year which I experienced in Uganda. I was studying at the Faculty of Social Science at the Department of Social Work. Makerere has a huge campus where you can study almost everything. The methodology of teaching is different from Austria but nevertheless I learned a lot.
